4.1 What location data is accessed

The App accesses your device's GPS coordinates (latitude and longitude) using the following Android permissions:

ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION - Precise GPS position for accurate speed camera detection
ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION - Approximate location as a fallback
ACCESS_BACKGROUND_LOCATION - Location access while app is in the background

4.2 Why background location is required

            The App uses background location to continuously monitor your GPS position while driving and alert you when approaching speed cameras or radar devices. This feature must work in the background because drivers cannot and should not interact with their phone while driving. The location data is essential for calculating the distance between the driver and known speed camera positions in real-time.
        

4.3 How location data is processed

Location data is processed entirely on your device (on-device only).
GPS coordinates are compared against a locally stored database of speed camera positions.
Location data is never transmitted to any external server, API, or third party.
Location data is never stored permanently. It is used in real-time and discarded immediately.
Location data is never used for tracking, profiling, or advertising purposes.

4.4 User control

You can enable or disable the radar/speed camera feature at any time from the app settings.
You can revoke location permissions at any time from your device's system settings.
The drowsiness detection feature works independently without location access.

5. Camera Data

The App uses your device's front-facing camera to perform real-time face detection using Google ML Kit (on-device processing).

Camera frames are processed in real-time on your device to detect facial landmarks (eyes, mouth).
No images, photos, or video recordings are ever saved, stored, or transmitted.
No facial recognition or biometric identification is performed.
The camera is only active while the detection screen is open and visible.
Camera data is never shared with any third party.

6. Advertising

The App displays non-intrusive banner advertisements provided by Google AdMob for non-subscribed users.

6.1 Ad format

Only banner ads (small, non-fullscreen) are displayed.
No interstitial ads (full-screen pop-ups) are shown.
No video ads are shown.
No rewarded ads are shown.
The App complies with the Better Ads Experiences policy.

6.2 Data collected by ads

Google AdMob may collect certain data as described in Google's Privacy Policy. This may include:

Advertising ID (can be reset or opted out by the user)
General device information (device model, OS version)
IP address (for ad serving purposes)

We do not control the data collected by Google AdMob. Users can opt out of personalized advertising in their device settings.

Premium subscribers do not see any advertisements. All ad-related data collection by Google AdMob ceases for subscribed users.

7. In-App Purchases & Subscriptions

The App offers a premium monthly subscription to remove ads and access additional features.

Purchase transactions are handled entirely by Google Play Billing (Android) or Apple In-App Purchase (iOS).
We do not collect or store any payment information (credit card numbers, billing addresses, etc.).
Subscription status is stored locally on your device using SharedPreferences.

Camera data: Processed in real-time, never stored. Discarded immediately after each frame analysis.
Location data: Used in real-time for radar proximity calculations, never stored or logged.
Preferences: User settings (radar on/off, subscription status) stored locally on device via SharedPreferences. Deleted when the app is uninstalled.
Detection statistics: Session summaries (alerts count, duration) stored locally. Never transmitted externally.

11. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, rent, or share any personal data with third parties.

The only data shared with third parties is:

Google AdMob: Standard advertising identifiers for serving banner ads (non-subscribed users only).
Google Play / Apple: Purchase transaction data handled entirely by the platform stores.

12. Data Security

Since all data is processed and stored locally on your device:

No data is transmitted over the internet (except ad requests by AdMob).
No external databases or cloud storage are used.
Data is protected by your device's built-in security (encryption, lock screen, etc.).
Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data.
